Wat-Arun Sightseeing

Wat Arun, locally known as Wat Chaeng, is situated on the west (Thonburi) bank of the Chao Phraya River. It is easily one of the most stunning temples in Bangkok, not only because of its riverside location, but also because the design is very different to the other temples you can visit in Bangkok. Wat Arun (or temple of the dawn) is partly made up of colourfully decorated spires and stands majestically over the water.

Sufficiency Learning

Travel by the King's Philosophy is what the King gave the Tourism when the opening ceremony of the Tourist Organization of Thailand or "TOT” (now is the Tourism Authority of Thailand, TAT). His Majesty said "the most important thing is to make people in the country, and the foreigners to understand Thai history, Thai roots, Thai culture, and Thai life". It is exactly what the King has said that we should know before love, when we love, we will cherish it and it will be harmony both Thai people in whole of country. This is the real goal of tourism ; therefore, it’s not only created economic figures, and just not only takes money into the country.

Wat Phra Kaew

Wat Phra Kaew, The Temple of the Emerald Buddha, and the adjoining Grand Palace together form the greatest spectacle for the visitor to Bangkok. Despite the fact that the whole compound is so full of tourists you spend half the time trying to avoid getting in people's photos, it's still a pretty amazing place to visit. It consists of over 100 brightly colored buildings, golden spires and glittering mosaics, and dates back to 1782, when Bangkok was founded. When you enter the compound, you first of all see Wat Phra Kaew and the nearby attractions, and then move on to the Grand Palace afterwards.

A Slow Life Style and Story of The Holy River of the East

In September 2016, I had a chance to visit the lifestyle of Khlong Khuean Community along the Bang Pakong River at Dheva Resort, there were organic farms in the resort and all can be eaten. People here told me that they were inspired by the new agricultural theory ; sufficiency economy of the King Bhumibol Adulyadej. At first I did not understand what sufficiency was, until I heard the story of the big river prawn that villagers can catch and cook, and can be their occupation. If the villagers did not follow the principle of sufficiency, then the villagers would not be self-sufficient. They keep the Bang Pakong River fertile and free from the toxic chemicals that flow into the sacred river due to the grace of the King of Thai developers.

Travel by the King's Philosophy

Is what the King gave the Tourism when the opening ceremony of the Tourist Organization of Thailand or "TOT” (now is the Tourism Authority of Thailand, TAT).

Thai Successor who Continue to Cultural Inherit Wisdom

Mr. Woody Suthiwut, a specialist in Khon Thai, he has a degree of Graphic Design from Chulalongkorn University, with a sense of pride and passion for Khon art ; So he's opened his house into a cultural learning center on Khon Thai, named "Baan Silp Siam" at Koh Kret, Nonthaburi province, where the story of Thai-Mon culture was blended perfectly. Baan Silp Siam is very interesting ; people are closer to Thai culture. A variety of cultural goods can be purchased at low cost such as miniature Khon masks, T-shirt screen Thai pattern, pottery, etc. as well as learning activities. This is enough for the attraction and inviting you to visit here.

Inspiration from the Middle Stream Contributing to the Upstream

Getting to the origin of Bang Pakong River is the forest upstream, to create a weir, one of the King's Philosophies to help water and forest management abundant, to slow down the flow of water, create moisture resulting in the rich trees, and the forest will grow naturally. Water management begins at the forest, if the upstream is good, middle stream and the downstream will not be affected. If all forest is good, everything will be fine, from the middle stream to the downstream, for farming and fishing until it flows into the Gulf of Thailand.
